Class of 93 reunited for Dockers Day

It was Millwall's seventh annual Dockers' Day at The Den on Easter Monday, with members of the 1992/3 FA Youth Cup side the special guests alongside a number of Lions fans who are also former dock workers.
The 92/93 team under Tom Walley reached the Youth Cup semi-finals in 1993 and beat a Manchester United side featuring David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and the Neville brothers 2-1 at Old Trafford in the first leg before losing out on aggregate following a 2-0 defeat in the second.
A year later they went one step further, reaching the final where they lost to Arsenal.
Mark Kennedy, Mark Beard, Ben Thatcher, Danny Chapman, Colin Luckett, Paul Irvine, Glenn Knight, Neville Gordon and Vaughan Morgan were reunited for the first time in two decades before being presented with commemorative medals on the pitch prior to the Championship clash with Ipswich Town.
Ironically, current Tractor Boys boss Mick McCarthy was in charge at The Den when those young Lions enjoyed their epic Youth Cup runs.
He gave Mark Kennedy his senior debut that same season and three years later Kennedy and Mark Beard were on target as Millwall achieved a giant-killing success in the FA Cup, beating Arsenal 2-0 at Highbury in a Third Round replay.
