In our latest edition of the matchday programme, we speak at length with Chris Wood who admits his delight at the way in which his spell with The Lions has gone to date.
“Overall, I’ve settled in really well so far with Millwall," he told programme editor Billy Taylor. "There’s a great set of lads here and the staff have been excellent too. Things have been going well for me so far and I hope I can contribute to the team doing the business on the pitch.”
Chris, who has plenty of Championship experience following other loan spells with Barnsley, Birmingham and Bristol City, was pleased to open his account for the club against Brighton, less than a week after signing on loan.
“It’s always good to get off the mark, and to do it so early was pleasing. Getting your first goal for a club is an important milestone and now it’s out of the way I hope there will be a lot more to come.”
The New Zealander, who moved to England as a teenager to sign for West Bromwich Albion, also speaks about his international career and the experience of going to the 2010 World Cup.
On top of our interview with Chris, Shaun Batt takes on your questions in our latest Facebook Q&A. The forward reveals who inspired him to take up football and who his ideal striking partner would be.
