Striker Hendo in confident mood
Darius Henderson is sure that it won’t be long before The Lions begin to push themselves up the Championship table.
After two goals in as many games, taking his total for the season so far to four, Hendo is delighted with the number of goalscoring opportunities the side have created of late.
“You do get some games where you don’t really get a sniff of goal but in the last two games it’s been good and hopefully the chances will continue to come my way," he said.
"You can look at any striker in the League; I don’t think anyone converts every chance. As long as I’m getting the chances and doing my bit for the team I’m going to be happy. It’s my responsibility to score goals and hopefully I can continue doing that.”
The striker came off the bench to score a late equaliser at Burnley last Saturday before his midweek leveler at Ashton Gate, and Millwall’s top scorer last term believes that two away draws stand them in good stead for Saturday’s visit of Bolton Wanderers.
“There’s some massive clubs in this division now and we’re right amongst them. We’ve got a great fan base and we’ll be doing our all to push ourselves up the table and compete.”
