Busy weekend

10 October 2012

Lions duo face tough test

While the rest of the Millwall squad put their feet up this weekend, Andy Keogh and David Forde have been preparing for one of the biggest games of their footballing lives.
Both will be on international duty for the Republic of Ireland who face a massive test against Germany in Dublin on Friday before taking on the Faroe Islands in a must-win game next Tuesday, both in World Cup qualifying group B.
With Kevin Doyle and James McClean ruled out of Giovanni Trapattoni's squad, Keogh, who can operate either up front or on the flanks, could feature against Joachim Lowe's Euro 2012 semi-finalists.
Fordey, who looks set to start as understudy to Sunderland keeper Kieran Westwood, said: "This is a massive game for us. After the win against Bolton at the weekend I'm really buzzing and hopefully we can get a result against Germany on Friday night."
