A big performance

8 October 2012

Kenny pleased with progress made

Kenny Jackett was delighted with his side's display in Saturday's last-gasp 2-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers.
Two goals from the in-form Darius Henderson either side of a Chris Eagles free-kick gave The Lions their second home win of the season, and their first victory in six games.
"It was a big performance by the players and a big result for us. We've finished games strongly which I'm very pleased with."
Bolton winger Eagles missed a second-half penalty ensuring that the score stayed level at 1-1 before Henderson's 90th minute strike, and Kenny is pleased with the progress his charges are making each week.
"We have to continue to try to climb up the table. It was our first win in six despite the two draws but we've built on them very well. I was pleased with the attitude and the performance."
