Lest we forget
This Sunday is Remembrance Day, and to mark the occasion we will also be remembering all those British and Allied servicemen and women who have been killed or wounded in conflicts around the world, before the Derby County game on Saturday.
The teams will be led out onto the pitch by Lance Corporal Alfie Bain and Corporal Michael Harrison from the Royal Corp of Signals.
The servicemen will be part of the Respect line-up and join the players and officials in the centre circle for a period of silence immediately prior to kick-off which will be preceded by the following brief reading from Laurence Binyon’s poem:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
