Lions swoop for Spurs ace
Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has moved to strengthen his defensive options by signing promising Spurs full-back Adam Smith on a three-month loan. With skipper Paul Robinson, Jack Smith, Karleigh Osborne and Alan Dunne all unavailable through injury and suspension for Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest, Lions boss Jackett was left without a recognised right-back for the game.
England U21 international Smith follows in the footsteps of team-mates Andros Townsend and Harry Kane, both of whom have enjoyed hugely successful loan spells here at The Den during the last two seasons.
"Adam is a player I have been following for some time," said Jackett. "He's a very promising young full-back and with both Jack (Smith) and Alan (Dunne) unavailable for Saturday this was an opportunity to bring Adam in to fill that gap in the short-term and hopefully for him to get more first team experience over the next couple of months with us."
