Dany grabs a trio against Tractor Boys
Dany N'Guessan grabbed a hat-trick as Millwall's U21 Development Squad eased to a 5-1 win against Ipswich Town at The Den on Monday afternoon.
Conor Wilkinson put Millwall ahead in the opening minute before Jack Ainsley levelled for the Tractor Boys on the quarter hour mark.
N'Guessan restored The Lions advantage five minutes later with a low shot that gave Michael Crowe no chance in the visiting goal.
The home side should have added further first-half goals having dominated long spells, only for N'Guessan to be thwarted by Crowe in a one-on-one situation and then the front man's cross picked out Therry Racon, who was also denied.
Racon was involved again three minutes before the break with an excellent intervention on the goal-line to clear from Byron Lawrence.
N'Guessan twice fired wide in good positions after the restart but a third goal finally arrived in the 75th-minute. Niall McManus played in N'Guessan and his angled shot was deflected towards goal, with Wilkinson's close range header making sure.
It was 4-1 on 85 minutes courtesy of N'Guessan's close-range effort and the striker completed his hat-trick in style with the best goal of the afternoon - a powerful run from inside his own half and thumping low shot driven under the body of keeper Crowe.
