Trotter: Our gift of goals

10 December 2012

What the Daily Mirror said

Lions stalwart Liam Trotter says his Championship high-fliers 'gifted' all three goals to his old club.
The Ipswich-born midfielder was left in a daze about the result on a day when his side's 13-game unbeaten run, the best for 36 years, was ended.
"I thought we were the better side for most of the game," insisted Trotter, 24.
"Ipswich didn't have to work much for their goals. We gifted them to them."
But the home side made it three wins on the spin. The on-loan pair of DJ Campbell and Daryl Murphy did the damage.
Campbell, on loan from QPR, grabbed two including a penalty and Murphy, on loan from Celtic, the other.
Trotter, who has been attracting the interest of Premier League pair Everton and West Ham this season, added: "We've had a great run. But now it's come to an end. We'll put the hard work in training to start another run."
