Roll on Saturday says Joe
Millwall head to table-topping Cardiff City refreshed after an extra couple of days away from the training ground.
Whilst The Lions' Play-Off rivals were all in Boxing Day action, and face their second game in four days this Saturday, Kenny Jackett's men had the luxury of both Christmas and Boxing Day off.
"It's traditional to play football on Boxing Day, but our match with Brighton was brought forward," assistant boss Joe Gallen told Lions Player.
"The positive from that was we've had a few days extra rest and with a few games coming up in a short period of time, that could prove useful.
We're all looking forward to Saturday's match at Cardiff; it's a really good game.
Cardiff have been doing really well at home, the Peterborough game aside and we've always put in quite a solid performance there.
They are immediately above us in the table and we want to try and get points off the teams above us, to stay up there.
We've been solid and consistent away from home for much of the time and we're looking to put in a good performance. Although Cardiff have a lot of players and are one of the favourites, it's exactly the sort of game that we like playing in."
