Lions welcome back Jimmy

28 December 2012

Midfielder in travelling squad

Jimmy Abdou is back and available for selection ahead of Millwall's clash at table-topping Cardiff City on Saturday (3pm).
The Comoros international missed last weekend's home defeat by Barnsley having returned to his family home in France on compassionate leave.
However midfielder Jimmy is named by manager Kenny Jackett in a 20-man travelling squad that also includes striker John Marquis, who has been sidelined for the entire season thus far with a groin injury.
However Lions duo Andy Keogh (toe) and Chris Taylor (knee) will both be missing as Jackett's side aim to gain revenge for a 2-0 defeat at The Den earlier in the season, whilst Chris Wood has returned to parent club West Brom following his loan.
Right-back Adam Smith is available having seen his red card from the Barnsley game rescinded by the FA yesterday afternoon.
Meanwhile Cardiff boss Malky Mackay has no fresh injury concerns other than possible fatigue as his side prepare for their third game in seven days against Millwall.
That means no reunion for Lions defender Jack Smith and his older brother Tommy, who has been out since October with a hamstring injury.
Millwall squad: David Forde, Maik Taylor, Adam Smith, Alan Dunne, Shane Lowry, Scott Malone, Jack Smith, Karleigh Osborne, Danny Shittu, Mark Beevers, Liam Trotter, Jimmy Abdou, Josh Wright, Therry Racon, James Henry, Liam Feeney, John Marquis, Darius Henderson, Dany N'Guessan, Batt.
