Eager Beevers

14 December 2012

Defender Mark the feature in Saturday's programme

The Lions will be looking to return to winning ways against promotion chasers Leicester City at The Den on Saturday afternoon.
Last weekend's 3-0 defeat to Ipswich Town at Portman Road ended a run of 13 games without defeat for Kenny Jackett's men, and the Championship Manager of the Month for November will be hoping to oversee a crucial victory over Nigel Pearson's side who lay in 5th position; four points ahead of Millwall.
One man who has played a vital part in helping The Lions climb the Championship table over recent weeks is Mark Beevers, who is the feature player in Saturday's matchday programme.
The Barnsley-born defender has impressed since initially joining the club on loan, and is delighted that a deal has been agreed for his permanent transfer once the window re-opens in January.
"I'm delighted to sign down here," the 23-year-old told us. "The sessions that Joe and the manager put on are great and the team organisation has been fantastic so it was nice for me to put pen to paper.
Millwall is a fantastic club. In terms of stature there's probably bigger clubs in the League but there is a great bond in the camp, both with players and staff. There's good times to come."
Mark's defensive partner Danny Shittu also features in the programme as he tackles your questions in the latest Facebook Q&A. Don't miss what Danny's toughest opponent has been, his thoughts on playing for Millwall and who he thinks the best dancer at the club is.
