Lions visit Lewisham Hospital
Players from Millwall's first team squad swapped the training ground for the children’s wards at University Hospital Lewisham for a surprise visit to share some festive fun with the youngsters and their families on Thursday afternoon.
A total of seven players, including Jimmy Abdou, Shaun Batt, Liam Feeney, Shane Lowry, Karleigh Osborne, Liam Trotter and Chris Wood came onto the children's wards and Children’s A&E to hand out Christmas gifts.
The players not only showed their support for the patients, their families and hospital staff, but also Lewisham Hospital's fight to save their A&E Department, which is under threat.
