Lowry looking for home comfort

30 August 2012

Den success a must says Shane

Shane Lowry wants Millwall to experience some home comfort with a first Den win of the season against high-flying Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Last season The Lions' record on home soil was disappointing, and according to manager Kenny Jackett left room for improvement. Although Millwall suffered a 2-0 reverse on the opening day against Blackpool, defender Shane believes that a home victory is essential to get the new campaign up and running properly.
"We need to get our first three points at home," he told Lions Player, "And we need to get back to keeping clean sheets like we did at the end of last season.
We've been unlucky with injuries, especially in pre-season, but we can't use that as an excuse because we have the depth in the squad to take care of that.
There are a lot of big teams in this division this year and some have really thrown a lot of money about.
But we are concentrating on ourselves, how we are playing - which is a slightly different style this year - and we are all looking forward to Saturday against Middlesbrough to try and get our first home win of the season."

Don't forget that Saturday's game has a 12.45pm kick-off. Tickets are available on the day of the game from the Millwall ticket office.
