Ten-man Millwall Under 23s were defeated 3-1 by Hull City in the Professional Development League on Monday night.
In a tale of three penalties at the LNER Community Stadium, Sean O'Brien gave Kevin Nugent's side the lead from the spot in the first-half, but two penalties in three second-half minutes from Harry Wood - coupled with an Arthur Penney red card - and an injury-time strike from Will Jarvis gave The Tigers all three points.
There were 22 minutes played when The Lions took the lead, as after Junior Tiensia was brought down in the box, the referee pointed to the spot - O'Brien beating the Hull goalkeeper to open the scoring.
Jayden Davis struck the crossbar as both sides searched for more, and with 15 minutes to go, Hull were able to force a spot-kick as Penney handled a Brandon Fleming cross. Wood stepped up to equalise, before just three minutes later, Josh Hinds was fouled and The Tigers were given their second penalty, which Wood once again dispatched.
Two minutes into injury-time, the hosts scored a third as Jarvis converted Fleming's cross.
Next up for Millwall's Under 23s is a trip to Coventry City on Monday 13th September.
