Millwall's Under 23s suffered defeat in their penultimate Professional Development League game last Saturday evening as they lost 1-0 to Hull City.
Will Keane struck the only goal of the game to condemn Kevin Nugent's side to a loss in their final away game of the season.
Noel Leighton had an early opportunity for the visitors before Ryan Sandford was called into action at the other end, saving from Kieran Holsgrove.
The Tigers had a penalty shout turned down late on in the first half as the ball appeared to strike the hand of Christian Mbulu, but that did not deter the hosts as they took the lead in the 51st minute through Keane, who won possession in the final third before advancing towards goal and firing past Sandford.
Hull's goalkeeper had to be at his best to keep out Jethro Hanson and Leighton in the second half, whilst Nugent's outfit had a shout for a spot-kick of their own turned down in stoppage-time after Danny McNamara's cross appeared to strike a hand.
Next up Millwall's Under 23s is their final game of the season at home to Burnley next Monday.
