In a behind closed doors fixture, Millwall reserves crashed to another defeat at the hands of rivals Crystal Palace despite taking the lead through former Eagle Lewis Grabban.
But once again, The Lions second string failed to capitalise and two goals from Ibra Sekajja meant they returned from the short trip across south London empty handed.
Palace, handing a start to trialist and former Lions keeper Preston Edwards, were on the back foot from the off as Ashley Grimes curled an effort on target but it was easily dealt with by Edwards.
John Sullivan was then called into similar action to deny a long range Christopher Arthur drive as the two sides traded chances.
Some decent football on The Lions' right flank almost let in Kiernan Hughes-Mason but Edwards did well to advance and smother the young striker's effort.
But he could do nothing with Millwall's opener on the half hour. Picking up possession 35 yards out, Grabban took a few strides forward before unleashing a rocket that nestled into the top corner, giving Edwards no chance at all.
But back came Palace and they were soon level courtesy of Sekajja's first goal of the game. Joel Ledgister won the ball in his own half and played a quick pass up field to Sekajja, who flicked it on to an onrushing Randall on the right wing. Sekajja carried on his run and Randall managed to pick him out with an inch perfect cross that he finished expertly from six yards.
Jimmy Rogers, Grimes and Rogers again tested Edwards from distance as The Lions looked to retake the lead but their wasted chances would haunt them as Sekajja grabbed his second.
Rogers conceded a corner and when Ledgister played it to the penalty spot, Jerry Nnamani's knock down found Sekajja with his back to goal. The forward expertly turned on a sixpence and fired an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net from eight yards.
Millwall tried hard to find a way back into the match but Rogers fluffed his lines when Grimes picked him out in the box before substitute Hassan Janneh tried his luck in the dying minutes but could only force a good save from Edwards as The Eagles held on for the win.
