Former public schoolboy Andy Frampton was spotted by Crystal Palace at the age of 11 and began training with The Eagles before becoming a boarder two years later atLancing College in West Sussex.
He was a member of the Lancing team who won the Boodles Cup, the annual knockout competition for independent schools, and then left to follow a YTS course at Palace, where he later captained their Under 19s team.
Left-back Andy broke into the first team at Selhurst Park and made 35 appearances from 1998-2003 before switching to Brentford.
It was at Griffin Park that the amiable defender, who can also operate at centre half, really came into his own and he emerged as a key figure for The Bees.
Strong in the tackle and with a never-say-die attitude, Framps was signed in the summer of 2007 by Millwall. He is a born leader with great communication skills and goes about his business in a quiet, controlled and commanding way.
