Highly-rated striker John made his debut as a second-half substitute in September 2009 at Bristol Rovers. A regular for the U18s and reserves, John gained valuable experience with a loan spell at Staines Town, for whom he scored six goals in his first six games before signing his first pro contract in the summer of 2010.
John scored his first senior goal in a Championship clash against Norwich City at The Den in November 2010, and then made a real impact when called into the side in the latter part of the campaign, scoring twice at Scunthorpe and bagging another in the 4-0 demolition of Preston.
After a promising pre-season, in which he has found the net four times, the young hot-shot will be looking to kick on and gain further game time this time around.
