The Lions management team harbour high hopes for teenager Ali, who was handed a surprise first team call in August 2006 against Gillingam.
Although he was an unused sub on that occasion, the quick-thinking, attacking midfielder has established himself as a first team regular and scored his first senior goal at Bristol Rovers on 17th November 2007, following that with the match winner against Yeovil a week later.
Featured a further 22 times during 2008/9. His idol is Chelsea star Michael Essien whom he one day aspires to partner in midfield for Ghana.
