Defender Robbo made his senior debut against Cambridge United in the Third Round of the FA Cup in January 2003, coming on after five minutes for the injured Stuart Nethercott.
The following week Paul made his first start and League debut against Watford at The Den and scored his first goal for the club in the replay against Cambridge three days later. Paul had to wait for his opportunity for first team football, having worked his way through the Academy and Reserve sides.
In the absence of Nethercott, Joe Dolan and Mark Phillips, he grabbed his opportunity with both hands and was one of the outstanding performers in the 2002/03 season. He continued his excellent form during the following campaign until damaging his cruciate knee ligaments at Norwich City on 8th November.
Having made a full recovery, Paul re-established himself as a vital member of the first-team and has been a regular in the side during the last five seasons.
He became club captain, and is now approaching 300 senior appearances for the club. He missed the vital last few months of the 2008/9 season through injury but returned in the Play-Offs.
Twelve months later it was fitting that Millwall's own Captain Fantastic popped up with the winning goal to clinch promotion in the Play-Off Final against Swindon Town.
Robbo had scored a number of vital goals in the campaign, including against Huddersfield in the Play-Off semi-final second leg, with none more important than his winner on Saturday 29th May at Wembley.
