Gum fire
The papers had quite a bit(e) to say, leaving Lions fans with lots to chew over following the weekend's win against Walsall:
News of the World
Gary Alexander knows how to win ugly after his double kept Millwall in with a shot of automatic promotion.
The 11-goal hitman looked like he had been in a boxing ring with 15 stitches in his mouth from last Tuesday's 1-0 home loss to Colchester United.
And he turned down boss Kenny Jackett's offer to wear a gumshield before firing goals either side to crank up the pressure on Leicester and Peterborough.
Jackett said: "Gary always wanted to play and I had no fears about him. He did well, and although he has missed a few games this season, I hope we'll have him available for the rest of it.
His partnership with Jason Price looks good, but we could also have Neil Harris and James Henry back from injury next week."
Millwall stay third, thanks largely to the club's record six away wins in a row - and despite five defeats in the previous eight home games.
With striker Harris out nursing a broken nose, they certainly needed the opportunism of Alexander, who put them back on top against Walsall after they struggled to hold onto the advantage of Price's early opener.
He hooked home in the 16th minute from Zak Whitbread's header.
But this only provoked a fierce response from Walsall, who saddled up a revival which led to Jabo Ibehre jabbing in a half-cleared free-kick from Steve Hughes in the 23rd minute.
Ibehre and strike partner Troy Deeney both went close again before Alexander struck after Rene Gilmartin could only parry Marc Laird's drive.
And it was all over bar the shouting when, eight minutes after the second half, Walsall failed to clear David Martin's corner and Alexander was on the spot again to slot home.
Walsall's afternoon was further scarred when Manny Smith had to be carried off following a shattering collision with Millwall keeper David Forde, who fell on top of him.
Eight minutes of treatment on the filed was needed and the player was sent for a precautinary X-ray after a neck brace was fitted.
Walsall boss Chris Hutchings said: "Hopefully he is going to be all right."

Stitch up for Gary
Gary Alexander played with 14 stitches in his face but still reckons he is better looking than team-mate Neil Harris.
The Lions hitman got the injury against Colchester last week but battled bravely on to bag a brace against the Saddlers.
He said: "It won't be a great time to take a team photo, especially with Harris in it. It's never a good time to take his photo!
He's out with a broken nose, so we're not the prettiest bunch at the moment."
Alexander raced in to net his 10th and 11th goals this term after Jason Price opened the scoring.
Midtable Walsall have little to play for, but shocked the home side on the half hour when Jabo Ibehre poked home an equaliser.
Saddlers boss Chris Hutchings said: "I thought the first half we played really well, as well as we've played in weeks."

Lions poised for promotion push
Kenny Jackett believes the Lions are ready for a crack at the Championship.
The Millwall boss said: "Being in the Championship definietly was a problem last time, maybe because the club could not sustain it.
But this time we're ready. We'd love the chance to try and establish ourselves there."
Jason Price fired in to give the Lions the lead before Jabo Ibehre equalised.
But Gary Alexander's brace keeps Millwall hard on the heels of Leicester and Peterborough.
