Posted on: Fri 03 Sep 2010

It's certainly been a memorable start for The Lions back in the Championship - so much so that both manager Kenny Jackett and skipper Paul Robinson have been included on the short-list for the npower Championship Manager and Player of the Month awards respectively.
Millwall boss Kenny has already won much admiration for the way his side have slipped effortlessly into life in a higher division, sweeping aside Bristol City (3-0), Hull City (4-0) and Coventry City (3-1) amongst others.
The nominees in full are:
Kenny Jackett - Millwall
Dave Jones - Cardiff City
Neil Warnock - Queens Park Rangers
Roy Keane - Ipswich Town

Kenny's side may have been one of the surprise packages this season following promotion from League 1, but their impressive start to the season has been built on the foundations of a solid defence skipper Robbo at the heart of this.
The Lions captain has picked up where he left off last season by turning in commanding performances throughout August managing to pick up a goal on the way at Bristol City on the opening day of the season.
The nominees in full are:
Kasper Schmeichel - Leeds United
Jay Bothroyd - Cardiff City
Adel Taarabt - Queens Park Rangers

The winner of the awards will be announced on Thursday 9th September, with both the Manager and Player of the Month being presented with the new npower trophy that same day.
