Injury update

Posted on: Sat 28 Aug 2010

Lions physio Bobby Bacic brings us the very latest from the treatment room:

At present, the treatment room only has one long-termer in it in the shape of Shaun Batt.
Shaun is now four weeks post operation and although still in his brace for another 2 weeks he has increased his gym exercises. Shaun is currently being helped out by team-mate Steve Morison, who is driving him into the training ground while Shaun is in the brace.
Thge current target for Shaun is to build up his thigh muscles and get his leg fully straight. So far he has shown a good attitude towards his exercises which can be painful, especially those to straighten the knee.
Although he still has a long way to go with his rehab it is a case of, so far so good,
Shaun's hard working ethos and happy go lucky attitude is making his rehab easy to conduct.
Steve is particularily keen for Shaun to progress so he can repay some of the many lifts he owes, but the betting in the treatment room is that once Shaun is back behind the wheel he won't be as punctual as when Steve drives him!
