Congratulations from everyone at The Den to Neil Harris, who today hopes to celebrate being named Coca-Cola League 1 Player of the Month for February by helping The Lions to victory at Walsall.
Chopper was in prolific goal-scoring form in February, with five goals in as many league games.
Neil HarrisHis scoring streak began by netting the winner against top of the table Norwich City.
The frontman was also on the scoresheet twice in his side's away victory over MK Dons and he ended the month with the solitary strike in our win against Hartlepool United.
Chopper, who is pictured with his award, is aiming to add another trophy to the Harris cabinet by the end of May with a promotion medal too!
Also short-listed for the February award were Ian Harte of Carlisle United, Lee Barnard of Southampton and Swindon Town's Billy Paynter.
Paul Gallagher of Leicester City won the award in the Championship and Wayne Brown of Bury was given the League 2 accolade.
The decision to present the Coca-Cola League 1 Player of the Month award was made by the Coca-Cola Player of the Month awards panel which includes former World Cup referee Jack Taylor, on behalf of The Football League, Steve Bates, Chairman of the Football Writers' Association, Malcolm Clarke, Chairman of the Football Supporters' Federation and Steve Watts, Marketing Assets Manager, Coca-Cola Great Britain.
