Winger Dave Martin has joined Derby County on an emergency loan deal until the end of the season.
The Lions and The Rams had agreed terms for the 24-year-old to move to the Midlands on a permanent basis last week, but personal terms were not agreed before the 5pm deadline on Monday.
Nigel Clough has now renewed his interest in the former Dartford and Palace man, who looks set to be included in his squad for the Championship encounter with Newcastle United on Tuesday night.
Martin is out of contract at The Den in the summer and Lions boss Kenny Jackett had been frustrated in his attempts to open talks with the player about a new deal.
