Lions boss Kenny Jackett hopes to complete the signing of Stoke City striker Vincent Pericard on a 93-day loan in time for him to be added to the squad for Saturday's clash with Brighton.
The 26-year-old Cameroon international is set to link up with The Lions on Friday and will provide an attacking option for the manager providing all formalities are completed by Saturday morning.
The former Portsmouth front man has had spells at Sheffield United, Plymouth and Southampton, but has found his Premier League opportunites limited at the Britannia Stadium this season.
The manager stated: "It's a good move for us, his size and presence is something we've lacked since Tresor Kandol left the club."
