Forde-ing the gap

Millwall stopper David Forde is convinced that The Lions have the pedigree to earn promotion this term and believes he is entering the best period of his varied career.
The 29-year-old Irish-born Welshman has led lowly Derry City into the UEFA Cup against the might of Paris St Germain, but insists that the biggest games are still ahead of him.
After a slow and sloppy start, the six-foot stopper turned his season around with a mirculous last-minute penalty save in the 2-1 home win against Huddersfield.
Likeable Forde went on to keep three back to back clean sheets in the league and has since finished runner-up in September's League One Player of the Month.
With Leeds bringing Player of the Month Jermaine Beckford to town this week, Forde is keen to keep The Lions on track.
