Scott Fitzgerald's U18s side recorded a well deserved awayday win at Southend United on Saturday.
Although only one goal separated the two teams at the final whistle, The Lions created enough chances to have won by a far larger margin.
The goal that clinched victory came on 65 minutes thanks to a clinical finish from young striker John Marquis.
Following the match coach Scott commented: "We have played some good stuff over the past four or five weeks but had let ourselves down with some sloppy mistakes.
This was a very good performance and we got what we deserved with a fine win."
