Millwall boss Kenny Jackett is staying positive despite The Lions going out of the Carling Cup in the first round to Northampton Town. Again.
Jason Crowe's early goal was enough to put the Cobblers through but Jackett remains confident for the season ahead.
He said: "There were some real positives to take from tonight - I felt we dominated the match from the last 15 minutes of the first half to the end.
We created some good chances - and got some great crosses in - but we need to put them away. We also need to start games better and be more aggressive.
Chris Hackett did very well in his first competitive start since last September and, considering he came in as right back where we're missing Danny Senda and Marcus Bignot, he was excellent all night.
Up front Lewis Grabban and Tresor Kandol both had good chances, and while they didn't put them away tonight, if we keep creating they will put them away.
Tresor got trodden on tonight and we won't know until tomorrow how he is.
Wins breed confidence in the players and the fans and although we've lost our first two games I feel we've been the better team in both of them."
Cobblers boss Stuart Gray added: "Millwall really pushed us tonight - our keeper pulled off a great save from Lewis Grabban to keep us ahead - and all night we had to deal with some tricky balls in the box.
We've got Millwall again in 10 days time so this win will give us confidence but Kenny Jackett's teams always push you hard so it will be another difficult match."
