Pete says thankyou

Posted on: Tue 20 May 2008
Contrary to a newspaper report today, Pete Doherty would be more than welcome back at The Den following his first ever visit to the ground on Sunday.
Doherty joined around 150 celebrities including McFly, Tony Hadley and former Lion Terry Hurlock, who took part in the annual Soccer Six tournament to raise money for the Samaritans.
And although his team, consisting of fellow members of the group Babyshambles, were beaten 3-2 in a thrilling final with Faithless, the 29-year-old had a great time.
Babyshambles manager Andy Boyd said: "Pete really enjoyed the event and his day at the club and passes on his thanks to all the staff at Millwall."
Andy Ambler, chief operating officer at The Den, added: "The whole day was a great success.
Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and we were proud to host this event.
We look forward to holding similar such events here in the future."
