The Football League are pleased to announce that there will once again be a Mitre Goal of the Year category at the 2008 Football League Awards incorporating FourFourTwo's Top 50 Football League Players.
The Football League are asking clubs to nominate one goal from any Football League competition in the 2007 calendar year, to include goals scored in The Carling Cup, The Coca-Cola Football League and The Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
We want to hear from you to help us decide which of the following four goals we will send in as our 'Millwall Goal of 2007'.
The four are as follows:

1. Darren Byfield's 90th-minute solo effort v Rotherham United 20.1.2007
Picking up the ball on the left, Byfield shimmied his way past a couple of defenders before swinging his right boot and sending an exquisite curling effort from 25 yards past stranded keeper Cutler.

2. Dave Brammer's 29th-minute rocket v Blackpool 3.3.2007
When Darren Byfield was fouled on the right flank, Ardley's quick-thinking and dinked delivery was headed clear by Michael Jackson, but only as far as Brammer who, with a mighty swing of his right boot sent an absolute belter into the back of the net from 25 yards.

3. Jame O'Hara's memorable first goal for The Lions v Bournemouth 20.10.2007
Millwall finally made the all-important breakthrough 12 minutes before the break courtesy of O'Hara's sublime finish from 16 yards after Jay Simspon's cross had been flicked into his path by Hoskins.

4. Jay Simpson's unforgettable strike v Oldham Athletic 15.12.2007
Jay Simpson, booked for an innocuous challenge on 36 minutes, latched onto an incisive Paul Robinson through ball and slammed The Lions level after 38 minutes. Yet when the young striker celebrated with the home fans, Mr Friend brandished a second yellow card and the stunned teenager left the field in tears unable to take any further part in proceedings.
