Two Championship games, seven goals, six points, two clean sheets and sitting top of the table...with a Carling Cup win sandwiched in between.
No wonder Lions manager Kenny Jackett was all smiles after a fantastic opening week to the 2010/11 campaign.
Goals from Steve Morison (2), Kevin Lisbie and Liam Trotter wrapped up a 4-0 win against Hull City on Saturday, following on from victories at Wycombe in the Cup (2-1) and Bristol City (3-0), to crown a memorable eight days for The Lions.
"That was a really good performance and I'm really pleased with the start to the season, winning three games in the first week," beamed Kenny.
"It gives us optimism for the future and something to build. I'm very pleased with the players' efforts.
In your first home game you want to give the supporters some optimism for the future and I think we've done that. How we go on from here is another challenge but today was a good day for us and a well-deserved win."
