A pleased Kenny Jackett reflected on a job well done as his Millwall troops executed the perfect strategy to nullify the league's leading scorers and earn a memorable comeback victory over Norwich City.
Despite Chris Martin's early goal, goals from Tony Craig and super sub Neil Harris handed The Lions all three points over the league leaders, in front of a bumper crowd of over 14,000.
A delighted Jackett said, "It was an entertaining game. I was pleased we had such a big crowd and even more so that we rewarded them with a good performance and more importantly a win."
The win takes The Lions up to fifth in the table and Jackett feels confident entering into the final months of this season.
"Our season is ahead of us now. We are in the mix and that is a good place to be. We must make sure that we continue in the same vein as today so that come May, we are still in the shake-up."
Despite having no idea why Millwall thrive when tagged as the underdog, Jackett insists his Lions were good value for their victory. "Our second half performance was terrific and we upped a gear. To be one down so early against a strong side like Norwich and then to come back and win, it was a good day. We negated theirattacking threat and finished strongly."
His opposite number, Paul Lambert, was not to downhearted following his side's defeat, saying, "We got beat but we'll bounce back. If you would have said we wouldn't be beaten in four months, I would have taken it. We knew it would be a battle and to be honest, there was not much in it. But we'll go again next week. You can't win every game."
