Kenny Jackett could not hide his delight as The Lions took a giant step towards securing their League One status with a crucial victory at Hartlepool.
A touch of brilliance by Jay Simpson settled this match, but Jackett praised the whole team for their efforts.
"I felt we thoroughly deserved this win," he said, "And in fact it could have been more comfortable had we taken one of a number of other chances we had, particularly in the first half.
This is a significant result for us, but as I said to the players afterwards, we must now go back to The Den and show against two very good sides that we are capable not only of staying in this League this season, but next year going on to be a force."
