Kenny's comment
Kenny Jackett hopes that the crippling injury crisis that saw 15 players ruled out of Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth eases for what is now a must-win home game with fellow strugglers Gillingham next Saturday.
Defender Zak Whitbread became the latest player to be sidelined through injury on a day that saw debutant Tony Craig become the 40th player to pull on a Millwall shirt this season.
"Zak got concussed right at the end of the Luton game on Monday and has had problems with his shoulder," explained The Lions boss.
"We had 15 players unavailable today and some may be back for the Gillingham; Mark Laird for instance, will be back from suspension. I will be eagerly checking the treatment room this week too."
On Saturday's match at Bournemouth itself, Kenny was in a reflective mood as a late double from Max Gradel sunk his side.
"We had a great opportunity to score with the penalty, and then Brky followed up the save with a great chance, but didn't finish it," said Kenny.
"Their keeper had one of those days when he produced two great saves in the first half from Harris and Martin, then saved a Brky free-kick as well as the penalty.
We were dominant in the first half especially and had so many set pieces and corners. We hit the target and worked their keeper but it was just not our day."
