Easter on parade?

Posted on: Fri 26 Sep 2008

Jermaine Easter could be thrown straight into Millwall's starting line-up for Sunday's trip to Swindon Town.
Striker Easter, 26, has signed on a month's emergency loan from Championship outfit Plymouth Argyle with Neil Harris (back) and Tresor Kandol (suspension) both unavailable for the immediate future.
Midfielders Marc Laird and Danny Spiller are also pushing to be included, with both men coming through Tuesday's 2-1 reserve victory against Aldershot Town unscathed following injury.
Gifton Noel-Williams could also join the travelling party subject to receipt of international clearance.
Lions boss Kenny Jackett is unlikely to tinker with his team too much, however, as Millwall go in search of their fifth successive League One victory.
Swindon boss Maurice Malpas was dealt a double blow with news that Jamie Vincent could be ruled out of action for up to six weeks, whilst Christian Roberts has been forced to quit.
Experienced defender Jamie, who had a spell on loan at The Den during the 2005/6 campaign, was scheduled to undergo surgery on a persistent knee problem this week and is unlikely to feature again until November.
Matters are even worse for Town midfielder Roberts who has sadly hung up his playing boots at the age of just 28 having failed to return to full fitness following a knee operation during the summer.
Roberts is sure to receive a warm reception from both sets of supporters when he is paraded pitchside before Sunday's match.
