Striker set to sign subject to international clearance
Millwall have agreed personal terms with Simeon Jackson, and subject to international clearance will complete a deal on Monday which will run until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old striker was released from his contract at German club Eintracht Braunschweig yesterday, allowing him to sign for The Lions outside of the transfer window which slammed shut on Friday night.
Jackson first made a name for himself at Rushden & Diamonds, scoring 42 goals in 120 appearances across four years before joining Gillingham in January 2008.
He continued his goalscoring form with The Gills, again scoring 42 times, but this time in 115 games for the Kent club.
The Kingston-born forward then joined Norwich City in July 2010, hitting 21 goals for The Canaries before his release last summer. He then moved to Germany in the summer, but found his options limited at Braunschweig, making just nine appearances.
Jackson becomes Ian Holloway's fifth signing as Millwall boss after Ryan Fredericks, DJ Campbell, Shaun Williams and deadline day addition Ed Upson.
