Millwall Lionesses v Everton Ladies
Women's Super League Spring Series
St Paul's Sports Ground
Sunday 2nd April
Millwall Lionesses return to action this Sunday as they take on Everton Ladies in the Women's Super League Spring Series.
Last time out, The Lionesses' were knocked out of the SSE Women's FA Cup in a 5-0 defeat by WSL 1 side Bristol City, but will be looking to improve as they take on The Toffees.
Ahead of the game, goalkeeper Sarah Quantrill said: "It's a massive game for us, especially after the loss to Bristol City. We need to get a good result to get confidence levels back up again."
Manager Lee Burch added that Everton would pose a "tough" challenge.
"I think it's going to be as tough as it can be in our League. Everton did really well last season and they've started this current campaign in the same vein. I'm expecting it to be as tough of a game we've had this season - and probably in my time here, too."
The Spring Series is a one-off competition which has been created to bridge the gap between seasons, while the FA WSL transitions from a summer League to a more traditional football calendar.
Each club will play each other once, with a trophy awarded to each division's winners. The Spring Series will finish before this summer's European Championships.
Tickets will be available to buy on the day and are priced at £5 adults and £2 concessions (over 60s and under 16s). Doors will open from 1pm.
Millwall season ticket holders are invited to watch The Lionesses for just £1 when presenting their 2016/17 season ticket card at the door.
